Declutter
Room of doom

What we aim to achieve

Our free yourself february challenge is designed to help you kickstart your decluttering journey when you simply just don't know where to start. But don't worry we are here to help you! Every day in February we will suggest one item for you to declutter. Don't worry if you've already tackled this area in your home you can choose something similar.

What you need for the challenge

It is really simple, create a KEEP, DONATE, RECYCLE pile and add each daily item to one of these piles. Hopefully by day 28 your donate and recycle pile will be full!

So lets get stuck in shall we!

Week 1

Day 1. Ornament

Todays item is an ornament or something similar. If it is chipped, broken or you simply don't like it anymore then show it the door!

Day 2. Socks!

Lets go through that dreaded sock drawer! Its time to declutter those odd, holey and lonely socks that are clogging up your drawers.

Day 3. Herbs & Spices

Its time to clear out those kitchen cupboards! Have you got old herbs & spices rolling around in the back of your cupboards that you have never used? If they're out of date then show them the gate! This is a good time to check any other out of date food that is taking up space in your cupboards.

Day 4. Books!

Do you have a tumbling mountain on books? A book swap is a great way to swap out your books for new material. Maybe join a book club and share your stories with old and new friends. However if you simply have too many then donate some to your favourite local charity shop.

Day 5. Glassware & Mugs!

Its time to look at your glass, mug and cupboards. Have you got 1 tired glass left out of a set. Chipped and broken cups that are sticking out of place? Be brave and let them go.

Day 6. Scarves!

Do you really need all those scarves that are wangled and tangled or shoved into a bulging drawer? Did you wear them all this winter? With spring approaching, now is a good time to look at your scarves and ask yourself, do I really need them all? Time to wave some good bye.

Day 7. Something that doesn't fit!

We are all guilty of hanging on to that old dress, shirt or jacket that we love. However does it fit? When was the last time you actually put it on. Its time to take a deep breath and let that once loved item of clothing go to someone else that can love it just as much.
